Esther 3-4, Isaiah 41:1-20, 2 Thessalonians 1
What God said to me – When I said to forget the things that lie behind and to press on toward the mark of your high calling, I didn’t mean to just forget the bad things – your failures – your defeats – I meant all things. Don’t allow your walk with Me to become like the middle-aged guy who is constantly touting his great win in high school, living off of past glories and successes. Just because you went on a mission trip or taught Sunday School in the past doesn’t mean that you are walking with Me and serving Me today. You don’t reach the mark of your high calling until the end of the race so don’t stop pressing forward toward the goal. You may retire from your secular job, but there is no retirement from your high calling so keep pressing forward. Look for opportunities to minister and to share each day with those I bring across your path so that My name is glorified in you, and you are counted worthy of your calling.
