Leviticus 1-2, Marrk 1:29-2:12, Psalms 35:17-28, Proverbs 9:13-18
What God said to me – The world seems to be getting busier and busier. It’s go, go, go all the time. For some it’s work that consumes them, sometimes having more than one job. For others it’s family activities – practices and games and events that go nonstop. There are errands to be run and stuff to do around the house, not to mention church and involvement in ministries. It’s easy to push this time with Me to the side because everything else feels so urgent. When My Son was on the earth, there were many days when He was going hard all day and late into the night preaching and healing and ministering to the crowds of people. How was He able to keep going with such a rigorous schedule and still be effective? He understood the importance of this time alone with Me. He would get up early to beat the crowds and get alone with Me to pray and to fellowship. It was here that I taught Him and gave Him direction and revealed My plans to Him so He wouldn’t be distracted or take on more than He should. If He needed this time alone with Me, how much more do you need it? This is important – make it a priority.
