What God said to me – Remember the song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”? It sounds simplistic, naïve even, yet there is some truth to it. People who constantly worry are not happy people. They are constantly fretting about everything – violence in society – wars around the world – the economy – inflation – how they are going to get by – their kids – the future and on and on. The one thing that is true of all people who worry, and fret is that their eyes are on themselves and their circumstances and not on Me. It’s easy to fall into that trap when you are constantly bombarded with so much bad news. So, how are you as My child to keep from falling into worrying and fretting? You keep your eyes on Me. When the farmer is plowing the field, he focuses on an object up ahead that is not moving so his row stays straight, and he stays on track. “I AM” to always be the object of your focus. Look to Me for direction. Look to Me for hope. Trust My sovereignty in your life and in the world and delight in My plan no matter what is happening in your life and in the world. “I AM” the author and the finisher of your faith so I do what is necessary to grow you and transform you into the person I died for you to become.
