Deuteronomy 21-22, Luke 9:51-10:12, Psalms 74:1-23, Proverbs 12:11
What God said to me – It’s like all of society has ADD – there is so much going on in people’s lives personally and add on to that the natural disasters and tragedies that seem to come one right after another and riots and upheavals politically and wars popping up with nuclear fears – it’s hard to stay focused on what is really important. When My Son, Jesus, was nearing the end of His ministry on earth, He knew the days were approaching for His ascension and He determined to go to Jerusalem even though He knew what awaited Him there. He spent His time on the Way in ministry and preparing and sending out more disciples. He didn’t waste time, but He stayed focused on what was necessary and important. You live in a day where time is literally running out. You must maintain your focus and spend your time on the wayin the ministry to which I’ve called you. Look at the example of My Son – His focus was on His ascension and His return to Me and not on His trials. As you face trials and difficulties, keep your eyes on Me and press on toward the goal for the prize of your high calling.
