Genesis 42:18-43:34, Matthew 13:47-14:12, Psalms 18:16-36, Proverbs 4:7-10

What God said to me – Once you were born again and became My child, My intention for our relationship was that it become a life of fellowship and teaching and instruction as we walk together.  When you stumble, I desire for you to repent immediately so we can go on together with uninterrupted fellowship.  Don’t put off repentance because restoration is also delayed.  Look at Joseph’s brothers.  They went into Egypt for food during the great famine, but they hesitated to return for more because of their guilt and fear.  What awaited them was a banquet and forgiveness and restoration of their relationship with their brother, but it was all delayed because of their guilt and fear.  You need to learn from this story – when you sin, whether it’s an unkind word to someone or a major rebellion or falling away from Me, don’t delay returning as quickly as possible.  Your hesitation only hurts you.  Learn to repent immediately.  Make it a habit of your daily walk.  Cry out for forgiveness as soon as you sin.  Don’t hesitate – a banquet of restoration awaits.

Genesis 41:17-42:17, Matthew 13:24-46, Psalms 18:1-15, Proverbs 4:1-16

What God said to me – Have you ever heard a politician say that they were personally against something – that they would never do it, but their public stance was totally different?  What about the person who is one person at work and another at home and still another at church?  When you become My child, I change your whole life.  You cannot pick and choose the areas where you follow Me.  I illustrated this in the parable where the woman put leaven in three measures of flour.  The result was that all of the flour was leavened – not one but the other two were not or were only partially leavened.  When I come into a person’s life, I change all of them and not just certain areas.  A true believer cannot live a compartmentalized life and be godly at church and ungodly everywhere else.  When I come into a person’s life, I change their whole life.  I affect the way they live and walk no matter where they are or what they are doing.  Look at your own life – are you consistent in your walk and stance for Me no matter where you are or who you are with?  If not, you must repent and allow Me to work in you to transform your entire life – don’t hold anything back.

Genesis 39:1-41:16, Matthew12:46-13:23, Psalms 17, Proverbs 3:33-35

What God said to me – What is your attitude toward sin?  Do you rank it – totally evil – bad – not so bad – big sins – little sins?  One of the reasons My children fall into the same traps over and over and cannot seem to break “bad” habits or areas of strongholds of sin is because of that attitude.  Sin always has been and always will be an abomination to Me – all sin.  There are no “little” or “harmless” sins.  Sin, no matter how you decide to rank it, is always an abomination to Me and the penalty is death and separation from Me.  So, how are you as My child to walk in a manner worthy of your calling?  First, you must see sin the way I see sin.  Look at Jospeh’s attitude toward sin as an example.  When he was confronted with the temptation, he responded with “how then could I do this great evil and sin against God.”  He understood that sin was not against an individual, but it was against Me.  All sin, “big” and “small” damages our relationship and must be rejected immediately.  When you begin to see sin from that perspective – from My perspective – it will change the way you live and help you to break out of bondage.  Our relationship should be the thing of utmost importance in your life – is it?
