Micah 3-4, Isaiah 51, Revelation 3:7-22

What God said to me – Have you ever listened to people – whether it’s family or friends or co-workers or people on the news or political leaders in their spouting and orations – and wondered how in the world they don’t get it – how can they not see what is so plain to you?  You must remember that spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  They do not know My thoughts or understand My purpose because they do not know Me.  They truly don’t have the capacity to understand apart from coming to Me and being saved.  So, rather than trying to reason or to argue them into the truth, you must pray.  Rather than feeling frustrated or defeated by their actions and rhetoric – pray.  Pray for My Spirit to draw them.  Pray for the scales to be removed from their eyes so they can truly see.  Pray for them to come to Me so they are able to see and understand the truth and to reject the deception and delusions of the enemy.  The weapons of your warfare are spiritual so quit debating and start praying.

Micah 1-2, Isaiah 50, Revelation 3:1-13

What God said to me – During the reign of Hezekiah in Judah, My prophet Isaiah told him of a future time when they would be going into captivity because of their sin.  Hezekiah’s response was basically “okay – it’s not happening until after I die so that’s fine.”  There is an hour of testing coming on the whole world that will be unlike anything that has ever happened before – a great tribulation where I pour out My wrath on the world and judge them for their sin.  However, I will keep My children from experiencing this awful time.  Those who have not already died will be raised and together with those who are still alive will be raptured.  So, what are you doing with that knowledge?  Are you like Hezekiah saying “okay it’s not going to affect me so it’s fine” or are you using it as an opportunity to warn others and to share the gospel?  “I AM” coming quickly so hold fast to what you have but be a faithful watchman on the wall warning of what is to come.

Obadiah 1, Isaiah 49:13-26, Revelation 2:12-29

What God said to me – You’ve seen movies where a storm is raging in the ocean and the ship is being tossed about and waves are crashing over the deck so the sailor lashes himself to the mast so he won’t be swept away – or a tornado is approaching and there is no shelter so they lash themselves to a pipe anchored deep in the earth and they hold on for dear life as the winds blow past.  You live in a world where storms are raging politically and morally and spiritually.  Times and world views are changing so rapidly you can’t keep up.  What used to be thought of as normal and right and acceptable is now thought of as hateful and unkind and intolerant.  So, how are you to live in such a society?  First of all, remember that “I AM” the same yesterday, today, and forever – I do not change.  The new lifestyles and accepted behaviors are just old sin repackaged and updated.  You hold fast and stand firm on My word.  The storm is coming but the one who holds fast to Me is the one who will be left standing once the storm passes.  Hold fast until I come.
