Numbers 4-5, Mark 12 :18-37, Psalms 48 :1-14, Proverbs 10 :26

What God said to me – Have you ever read a book or watched a movie where you knew there would be sequels?  You can’t wait for the next one to find out what’s going to happen, and you are so eager that the day it’s released, you buy the book or get a ticket to the movie.  Do you approach My word with that kind of anticipation?  You should.  There is always something new for you to learn about Me or to help you in your current situation.  I pictured this truth in the Tabernacle with the Table of Shewbread.  The bread was called the bread of the Presence or the continual bread.  Every week new loaves of bread were baked and put on the table and the priests would eat the bread that was being replaced.  Every week there was new bread, so it never got old or outdated.  Even when they moved the Tabernacle, the bread remained on the table during the move.  “I AM” the Bread of Life and the Word which was in the beginning.  Like the continual bread in the Tabernacle, “I AM” always with you and like that bread, My word is always fresh and new and able to minister to you and help you no matter where you are or what you are going through, so cling to it.  Feast on in continually – I always provide new bread for you so it will never grow old or out of date.

Numbers 2-3, Mark 11 :27-12 :17, Psalms 47 :1-9, Proverbs 10:24-25

What God said so me – Out of all the people in the world, I chose two groups of people to be My children and to be a kingdom of priests to Me – Israel and the Church.  As priests, their responsibility was to worship and serve Me and to tell others how they could come to worship and serve Me also.  Within the nation of Israel, I chose one tribe, the Levites, to be priests to minister to the rest of the tribes.  I divided the Levites into four groups, by family, and when they set up My Tabernacle, I assigned each group to camp on a specific side of it and then I assigned each of the remaining tribes to camp on specific sides also.  Their positions were not random – they were assigned.  I want you to think about this as My child and part of My Church.  You are to be a priest to Me, daily worshipping and ministering to and serving Me and telling others how they can come to Me.  Just as the Levites’ and the other tribes’ positions in the camp were not random, but were assigned by Me, so is your place, as is the place of the people you encounter – your family – your friends – your neighbors – the strangers you encounter.  I put you where I put you to serve Me and to minister to those I put around you.  When you begin to see each person you encounter as someone I sent to you, it will change your attitude toward them and the way you think about them, but it will also change the way you act toward them – minister to those I send to you.

Leviticus 27 :14-34, Numbers 1, Mark 11 :1-26, Psalms 46 :1-11, Proverbs 10:23

What God said to me – When My Son, Jesus, was approaching Jerusalem as He traveled there the last week before He was to be crucified, He told two of His disciples to go into a village they were passing and to get the colt they would find there.  So how do you think He knew about the colt?  Most would say it was because He was omniscient, but when He became man, He was limited in all aspects as a man, so He shed His omniscience and lived as every other man.  So how did He know?  It’s quite simple actually – I told Him.  He sought My direction everyday – He ordered His day – His words and His actions – based on what I told Him.  He believed what I told Him and He acted in faith.  His life is the model to which you should aspire.  This time with Me in My word and in fellowship are not just to benefit you spiritually, but physically in how you live your life and walk each day.  Start each day with Me so I can help you to order your day and prioritize what you should do.  You don’t have to be omniscient when you know the One who is – trust Me to direct your path.
