Jeremiah 52, Proverbs 11:16-31, Ephesians 1

What God said to me – In a world that promotes self-esteem as all important you must realize that it’s My esteem that makes a difference in a person’s life and is what is important.  You as My child are highly favored.  You are deeply loved.  I chose you to be My child before the foundation of the world – let that sink in when you begin to question your worth.  I didn’t just choose you to know Me – I chose you to adopt as My child and with all the benefits that entails.  I redeemed you and forgave you in the process and have given you an inheritance that is beyond anything you can think or imagine.  I have sealed you with My Spirit so nothing can take you out of My hand.  As you walk with Me, I will give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Me so that you will know and understand the hope of your calling and the riches of the glory of your inheritance.

Jeremiah 51, Proverbs 11:1-16, 1 John 4:15-21 to 5

What God said to me – I have testified to the world the truth of who “I AM” and My testimony is true.  I have testified through the birth and life and death and resurrection of My Son that “I AM” the Savior of the world.  I have testified by My Spirit who convicts the world of sin and righteousness and judgment that “I AM” Holy God.  I have testified through creation that “I AM” Almighty God.  My testimony has been clear so people are without excuse.  They either believe My testimony or they reject it – it’s as simple as that.  Those who reject My testimony in essence are calling Me, Holy God, a liar when in truth they are falling for the lies of the evil one who is a liar by nature.  As dark and hopeless as this sounds, don’t forget that when I called you to be My child, you saw through the lies of the evil one and believed My testimony of who “I AM” and what I did for you.  So, take heart and know that I will save all those who are Mine.

Jeremiah 50, Proverbs 10:16-32, 1 John 3:19-24 to 4

What God said to me – There was a time when I used the great nation of Babylon to punish My people, Israel, and to judge them for their immorality and idolatry and unfaithfulness to Me.  But in My mercy I told them through My prophet, Jeremiah, that they would be in captivity for seventy years.  During this great trial and tribulation My people repented and returned to Me and began to look forward with great anticipation to the day when I would bring them home.  But then things seemingly went from bad to worse – I sent another nation to judge Babylon and to conquer them and My people who had already been held captive for nearly seventy years were now held captive by another nation.  It seemed to them that their troubles and trials were never going to end.  In their fear and  grief and weeping they cried out to Me and turned their faces toward Me and held fast.  It was just this disastrous turn of events that I used to save them and bring them home.  So, when you look at the world and it seems that things are getting exponentially worse, do as they did, and in your fear and grief and weeping cry out to Me and turn your face toward Me and hold fast.  Your redemption draws closer each moment.
