Jeremiah 5-6, Psalms 140, John 18:28-40 to 19:1-27

What God said to me – Pilate tried several times to release Jesus because he knew He had done nothing worthy of death but the Jewish leaders were so entrenched in their sin they would not hear or accept what he said.  In the same way you can cry and plead and warn the world of the coming judgment but they are so entrenched in their sin that your warnings fall on deaf ears.  You cry and grieve, especially when those you love have fallen and refuse to heed the warning and repent.  This is when you must realize that while it’s your responsibility to warn, it’s not your responsibility to convict or to save – it’s Mine.  I sent My Spirit to convict the world of sin and or righteousness and of judgment so let Him do His job.  You continue to pray but let Me work.  I will carry out My plan.  Trust Me.

Jeremiah 3-4, Psalms 139, John 18:19-40

What God said to me – Do you realize that I think about you?   Me – Almighty God – King of Kings and Lord of Lords – I think about you!  You are Mine and you are important to Me.  I have known you and had a plan for you before you were born.  I set the number of your days before you were even born.  When you truly get hold of this fact you will worship and your desire to please Me and serve Me will explode.  Just as you are on My mind, I want to be on your mind.  Think about Me – think about ways to serve Me and to please Me.  Turn even your thoughts over to Me and ask Me to cleanse them and to purify them so that the thoughts of your mind and the meditations of your heart are pleasing to Me.  This examination and surrender of your heart and mind is a continual process and is an integral part of your walk with Me as I lead you in the everlasting way.

Jeremiah 1-2, Psalms 138, John 18:1-27

What God said to me – It’s easy for you to think that Jeremiah was a special kind of super believer because I chose him before he was born to be My prophet to Judah and to warn them of the coming judgment. But he is no different than any other of My children. Before I formed each of you in the womb, I knew you and before each of you were born, I consecrated you also. The difference between you and Jeremiah is the time in history I placed you and the ministry I have called you to. Your calling may not have been as dramatic as Jeremiah’s, but I have still called you and gifted you for ministry to those I bring to you. Just remember even Jeremiah made excuses for why he felt he was not able or worthy, but I assured him that I would be with him and give him all he needed to do what I called him to do. I make the same promise to you – your part is to walk close to Me, staying in My word, going where I lead, and ministering as I direct. I will be faithful to speak to you and teach you and be with you as you go.
