Jeremiah 48, Proverbs 9, 1 John 2

What God said to me – There has never been a time in history of the world when people are so busy and overwhelmed by what is going on both in their personal lives and in the world.  It is a time of extremes – people are either struggling to make ends meet and in fear of going under or giving out or they have so many extracurricular activities they meet each other coming and going and are tired and stressed out.  There are so many flashpoints around the world it seems that one spark could blow it all up.  Stress is at an all-time high and faith is at an all-time low.  In the midst of it all it is hard to make time for Me and yet if you would, I could give you joy and peace in the midst of your circumstances and help you navigate your way through.  “I AM” coming soon so make this time a focus and priority of your life so that when I appear you will have confidence and not shrink away in shame and regret.

Jeremiah 46-47, Proverbs 8:17-36, 1 John 1

What God said to me – Have you ever walked into a dim room that seemed to be clean but when you turned on the overhead light and opened the shades you could see the dust on the furniture and cobwebs in the corners and stains on the carpet?  The lives of My children can get that way without you even realizing it.  If you’re not careful you can begin to coast in your walk – you get busy so you start neglecting this time.  You think you’re doing okay because you still go to church when you can and you reject the “big” sins that you see cluttering up others’ lives but because you’re not turning the light on, you don’t see the filth piling up in your own.  “I AM” light.  Part of what this time together does is shine a light in your heart and mind so you can see the dust and cobwebs and stains and then seek My help to clean it up.  If you confess your sins “I AM” faithful to forgive and cleanse.

Jeremiah 44-45, Proverbs 8:1-21, 1 Corinthians 16

What God said to me – I used My prophet, Jeremiah, to warn the people of Judah of the impending judgment that was coming because of their idolatry and immorality and total rejection of My word.  Even after seeing most of the nation taken into captivity, those remaining refugees doubled down and refused to repent.  They blatantly said, “as for the message that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we are not going to listen to you!”  Then they bragged about continuing their sacrifices to idols.  So although I have called you to be watchmen on the wall to warn society of the impending judgment for their idolatry and immorality and rejection of My word, don’t be surprised when their response is the same.  They have made their choice and like the sin of Judah, there is coming a day when I will no longer endure it.  It’s natural for you to be sad knowing how their repentance would change the outcome but stand firm knowing My kingdom is coming.
