Joshua 8-9, Psalms 70, Acts 21:20-40

What God said to me – There are many decisions you will make throughout your life – some big and some small – some major and some minor – but when you are My child you should seek My direction in all you do.  You have no idea when a decision you make could impact you for a lifetime.  When the Israelites encountered the Gibeonites, they believed what they saw with their eyes and decided their story was plausible.  So rather than seek My counsel as to what they should do, they believed their own eyes and ears and trusted their own instincts and that decision affected the nation of Israel forever and not in a good way.  Learn from them and seek My counsel each day in everything you encounter.  My guidance and wisdom can save you a lifetime of grief and heartache.  Don’t trust in your own knowledge and instincts – trust in My infallibility.

Joshua 6-7, Psalms 69:19-36, Acts 21:1-25

What God said to me – Throughout history I have used ungodly people to carryout My plans for My people.  I used the Egyptians, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Greeks, the Romans, and even ungodly Jews.  All of these thought they were in control and acting on their own and yet they were merely puppets carrying out My plans.  So when you see wars around the world, attacks on My people Israel, ungodly men being elected to positions of power and influence don’t be discouraged or afraid.  You can know that “I AM” in control and at work.  The Romans and the Jews did not crucify My Son – I did – I merely used them to carry out My plan so that you could be saved.  When the world is literally blowing up around you don’t be afraid.  “I AM” merely using those things to carry out My plan so you can be saved.  “I AM” coming for you.  Stand firm.

Joshua 4-5, Psalms 69:1-18, Acts 20:17-38

What God said to me – Like Paul you must live in such a way that you have no regrets.  Share with those I bring across your path and don’t shrink from declaring who “I AM” in your life and how I changed you and sustained you through every circumstance.  You may never have another opportunity so as I lead you share.  Always be on the alert looking for opportunities and be seeking My wisdom as to what you should say and when you should speak up.  Be a hard worker and a good example so that those you encounter are not turned off by your laziness or bad behavior and so they will be receptive to what you have to say because they are drawn by your good example.  Live and speak in such a way that you reflect My love and My character – those who I have called will be drawn by it so you have opportunities to share.
