Joshua 10-11, Psalms 71, Acts 22

What God said to me – I have a plan that “I AM” carrying out – never ever forget that.  As you look around and see all the hatred and violence and chaos in the world, turn to Me and let Me reassure you.  You have seen Me at work in many situations and in many seasons in your life.  Your responsibility is not to convince people of your politics, it is to declare My strength and power and sovereignty to this generation.  You must be a beacon of hope and light in this world that continues to get darker each day.  Declare your faith and trust in Me no matter how elections may go or how the world tumbles into war after war or how depraved society becomes.  People need light and hope, so you be the one to share it with them.

Joshua 8-9, Psalms 70, Acts 21:20-40

What God said to me – There are many decisions you will make throughout your life – some big and some small – some major and some minor – but when you are My child you should seek My direction in all you do.  You have no idea when a decision you make could impact you for a lifetime.  When the Israelites encountered the Gibeonites, they believed what they saw with their eyes and decided their story was plausible.  So rather than seek My counsel as to what they should do, they believed their own eyes and ears and trusted their own instincts and that decision affected the nation of Israel forever and not in a good way.  Learn from them and seek My counsel each day in everything you encounter.  My guidance and wisdom can save you a lifetime of grief and heartache.  Don’t trust in your own knowledge and instincts – trust in My infallibility.

Joshua 6-7, Psalms 69:19-36, Acts 21:1-25

What God said to me – Throughout history I have used ungodly people to carryout My plans for My people.  I used the Egyptians, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Greeks, the Romans, and even ungodly Jews.  All of these thought they were in control and acting on their own and yet they were merely puppets carrying out My plans.  So when you see wars around the world, attacks on My people Israel, ungodly men being elected to positions of power and influence don’t be discouraged or afraid.  You can know that “I AM” in control and at work.  The Romans and the Jews did not crucify My Son – I did – I merely used them to carry out My plan so that you could be saved.  When the world is literally blowing up around you don’t be afraid.  “I AM” merely using those things to carry out My plan so you can be saved.  “I AM” coming for you.  Stand firm.
