1 Peter 4-5, Isaiah 34

What God said to me – Those who are in the world and of the world will malign you – do not let that cause you to move away from Me and what you know is right.  Don’t be afraid of suffering for “I AM” with you.  I will carry out My plan for your life in spite of what people may say or do.  I use those things people do and say against you to transform you and move you toward where I want you to be.  So when you find yourself being maligned, look to Me and let Me work in you.  You must stay close to Me and make sure when you suffer, it is for My sake and not because of your own bad behavior and choices.

1 Peter 1-3, Isaiah 33

What God said to me – Prepare your mind for action – you have a part in guarding your mind and heart.  Your part is to turn to Me, to reject those immoral and evil thoughts that plague you as a result of all that is around you in the world.  You must be on constant guard.  You are in a war – never forget that.  Fleshly lusts wage war against the soul trying to divert you from your walk with Me.  Grasp hold of Me, and I will keep you steady.  I will be your stability and strength.
