2 Chronicles 22-24, Psalms 106:24-48

What God said to me – I use godly people to restrain evil in the world.  It is important for you to walk in godliness at all times before men.  Your influence in the lives of those I bring to you is important.  I can use you to sway even the most ungodly to accomplish My purpose.  Don’t grow tired of doing good or feel like you are not making a difference.  Trust Me to work in and through you.  Exercise your influence wherever you can.  Whether the world respects you or turns on you should not be what drives you.  Pleasing Me should be your aim, not gaining the respect of ungodly people.

2 Chronicles 19-21, Psalms 106:1-23

What God said to me – In order to leave a lasting heritage of good and godly things to your children and grandchildren you must walk with Me consistently.  You must not be like the children of Israel who one minute are believing My word and praising My name and the next they forget My works and do not wait for My counsel.  They let their appetites and cravings drive them.  Self-control comes from walking with Me constantly and consistently.  As I live through you and in you, self-control becomes a way of life.  When you cannot control your appetites, it is because you are not depending on Me.  Godliness is the result of dependence, not indulgence.

2 Chronicles 16-18, Psalms 105

What God said to me – Just because things are going well doesn’t mean you don’t need to rely on Me.  Whether or not you have the resources or ability to handle a problem is not the issue.  The issue is whether you trust Me and depend on Me for direction and help.  When you encounter a trial or difficulty, don’t assume just because you have been blessed with resources and abilities that I want you to use them to overcome the situation.  Always seek Me first.  Seek My guidance and direction before you act.  Sometimes I may use those things I have blessed you with, but other times I may intervene in an entirely different way.  The lesson for you to learn is to first and always seek Me.
