1 John 4-5, Isaiah 31
What God said to me – You don’t cleanse yourself. You draw near to Me, and I cleanse you. Your responsibility is to turn to Me with a repentant heart – repentance is all you can do to cleanse your hands and purify your heart – I take it from there and complete the work. Don’t rely on your own power or the power of others to stay close to Me. You draw near and let Me bind your heart to Me. Let Me rid you of your double mind and cleanse you with My word.
1 John 1-3, Isaiah 30
What God said to me – I have made a way where there seems to be no way. I have made a way for you to return, but you must remove your idols – those things that replaced Me and turn to Me in repentance. “I AM” always faithful to forgive when you repent. Don’t let things pile up – don’t avoid Me because of your shame. Run back to Me as a child who has fallen and seeks their Father’s comfort. You must walk in a manner worthy of your calling so you will not be ashamed at My coming. “I AM” coming soon.
Lamentations 3-5, Isaiah 29
What God said to me – Turn around and walk away from your sin. You cannot continue in darkness and walk with Me. Don’t give Me lip service and continue in secret sin. My mercies are new every morning – come to Me. Fill your heart and mind with My word so you will not stray. What you do when you are alone with no one watching is who you are. Set your mind on Me – on things above. Let Me transform you and quit trying to do it yourself. I will not abandon you.
