Jeremiah 16-18, Isaiah 16

What God said to me – There is calamity all around – there are natural disasters all over the world from earthquakes to droughts to storms to excessive heat to excessive cold to fires to floods – there are manmade disasters from wars to civil unrest to financial collapses to flagrant sin.   In spite of all this, you, My child, do not need to fear.  “I AM” your strength and your stronghold.  “I AM” your refuge in the day of distress.  Cling to Me.  Walk with Me.  Stay in My word.  Minister as I direct.  I will give you peace in the midst of it all.

Jeremiah 13-15, Isaiah 15

What God said to me – Standing alone with Me is not an easy thing to do.  To stay strong in your walk with Me and not compromise is difficult because there are times when even those closest to you will abandon you.  So many of My people are going backward – rather than moving forward toward Me, they are moving away.  The lure of the world and the desire for acceptance is not easy to resist, especially when it seems like you are the only one trying.  You must come to the place where you cling to Me no matter what the temptation or who is urging you to chill out or quit being a buzzkill.  You must come to the place that “I AM” the most important influence in your life.  Cling to Me.

Jeremiah 10-12, Isaiah 14

What God said to me – “The Lord of hosts has sworn saying, ‘Surely just as I have intended so it has happened, and just as I have planned, so it will stand.’”  I said this long-ago regarding Assyria and Babylon and Israel and Judah and I say it again today.  My plan for the world has not changed – I will carry it out.  You can walk with Me, trusting Me, watching Me work, and participating when I direct you, or you can go your own way.  When you go your own way, you are fearful and unsettled and unsure about the future.  When you walk with Me your faith will grow and you will experience peace and joy in the midst of the turmoil in the world.  Choose you this day – My way or yours.
