James 3-5, Psalms 51

What God said to me – Live the life I give you today.  Don’t worry about the past or be anxious about the future.  The things I have for you today will prepare you for the future.  Spend time with Me in My word.  Go about your life – work – spend time with family.  Learn to be godly in the mundane things of everyday life.  You have no idea how this will prepare you and strengthen you for any difficult thing you may encounter in the future.  Discipline is a key to developing steadfastness and the ability to be content no matter your circumstances.  Daily discipline – both physical and spiritual.  Work hard today so you are prepared for tomorrow.

James 1-2, Psalms 50

What God said to me – Faithfulness to the end is not an easy thing to achieve.  You cannot persevere apart from Me.  “I AM” the one who gives you strength to carry on even when you don’t think it’s possible.  “I AM” faithful.  Cling to that.  Repeat it over and over.  Let this be your mantra when you have nothing else – “I AM” faithful.  Cling to me in the storm.  When you can’t go on, you must hold on.  When you’ve lost your faith, cry out to Me and I will give you faith.  In Me you live and move and have your being – I will not let go of you until you are safely home with Me.

Deuteronomy 31-34, Psalms 49

What God said to me – I know that sometimes life seems unfair – that I could have stopped things or done things to make life different for you or the people you love. But you must remember that “I AM” just and your perspective is not accurate. You see things through a glass dimly. Your perspective is temporal but Mine is eternal. You must learn to rely on My character and not circumstances. You must trust that I only do what is right and because of this I restrain Myself until it is time. People do bad things and make wrong choices sometimes. That doesn’t mean I don’t care. I will come and bring My own to Myself and there will be no more suffering. The scales will be balanced.
