Deuteronomy 17-19, Psalms 45

What God said to me – Don’t act like the world around you!  Don’t be seduced by it and drawn in!  One of the ways they know you belong to Me is that you are different.  You don’t do the things they do or go to the places they go.  It is a fine line you must walk so that you are in the world but not of it.  You must develop relationships in order to have influence for Me, but there are some lines you cannot cross.  In spite of what they say, there is a grudging respect that comes as they see you walk the walk with Me.  When you go too far into the world and cross those lines, you lose that respect and ability to be an influence.

Deuteronomy 14-16, Psalms 44

What God said to me – “I AM” always with you no matter what the circumstances.  Do you really believe that?  Or do you feel that when things are going well that “I AM” blessing you and when things are going bad that “I AM” punishing you and have abandoned you?  Don’t think like that!  That is the way people think who do not know Me or understand My ways.  “I AM” all about what is best for you.  Sometimes good times and blessing are what you need, but sometimes it’s difficulties and trials.  You must learn to trust Me equally in each.  You must learn to ask, “What am I trying to teach you?” or “How do I want you to respond?”  That is walking by faith.

Deuteronomy 11-13, Psalms 43

What God said to me – The world encourages everyone to do what is right in their own eyes.  They do not seek Me or listen to My word.  Pleasing Me is the last thing on their mind.  They think it is better to be lifted up in the eyes of men than to please Me.  What do you think?  Do you seek to please men or Me?  How often do you actually think about pleasing Me?  You have to learn to purpose each day to seek to please Me.  Think about it.  Pursue it.  Don’t just let the day drift by.
