Numbers 31-33, Psalms 37:1-22

What God said to me – “Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.”  Do you understand that faithfulness is learned behavior?  It is grown in your life by practicing, day in and day out.  You must purpose in your heart to follow Me day by day, moment by moment and then begin practicing it.  It is not easy to reach the moment by moment, but it is possible.  It’s like learning to hold your breath under water.  When you first try, you can’t stay under very long.  But as you practice, you gradually increase the time.  So, start practicing moment by moment faithfulness.  You’ll be surprised how quickly you grow as you cultivate faithfulness by walking with Me.

Numbers 28-30, Psalms 36

What God said to me – You read about all of the sacrifices and offerings and think “how in the world was it possible to do all of this correctly and keep up with it all?”  The answer is that it wasn’t possible – that is why I came and made a once for all sacrifice.  You don’t need to present sacrifices for atonement.  The sacrifices and offerings you now present are not for atonement, but for dedication and service. The sacrifices and offerings you now present are yourself, your time, and your possessions.  This is how you show your devotion to Me.

Numbers 25-27, Psalms 35

What God said to me – Do you have a heart for the things I have a heart for?  Do you hate the things I hate?  This is what I long for – someone who has a heart like Mine.  Come to Me and let Me change your heart.  Spend time with Me and let Me transform you.  The more time you spend with Me, the more you will look like Me as you learn those things I love and those things I hate.  You will find yourself taking on My offenses against those who oppose Me.  You will learn to stand firm and strong for what is right and against what is evil.
