Acts 16-18, Proverbs 12:1-14

What God said to me – Examine the scriptures daily.  It is so important that you know the truth so you can walk in it and so you can discern false teaching and avoid it.  It is My word that will direct your path and My word that will help you avoid trouble.  As you spend time in My word, you come to know Me intimately.  You learn My character.  You learn how I respond and what I consider important.  All of this will help you to be discerning.  It will help you not to overreact.  It will help you to give wise counsel.  It will transform you into My image as I wash you with the water of the word.

Acts 13-15, Proverbs 11:16-31

What God said to me – “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”  I know that’s not what you wanted to hear, but it is the truth.  Walking after me is not easy, but it is as you go through the difficulties I place before you that you are transformed into My image.  These are the places where you learn faith and trust and patience and tolerance and understanding and kindness.  These are the places where you turn to Me and learn to depend on Me.  These are the places where you desperately seek Me and cry out to Me.  These are the places you struggle through and come out on the other side looking like Me so you can turn and minister to others who are struggling also.

Acts 10-12, Proverbs 11:1-15

What God said to me – You read these accounts of My angels coming and speaking to My people and giving them direction and you are amazed by the interaction and by the detail of the instructions.  Yet you have Me living in you, desiring to interact with you moment by moment and you take it for granted.  How can you not comprehend the fact that “I AM” living in you and giving you direction for each step is so much more amazing than my sending an angel to speak to you.  You are important to Me – so important that I give you My personal attention.  Think about that and let it change the way you see yourself.  Think about that and let it change the way you live your life.
