Titus 1:1-3:15

What God said to me – The knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness – that is what My word is.  It is the truth that leads to godliness.  When you are struggling with disappointment in yourself or frustration about your failure to live in a way that pleases Me, turn to My word, don’t avoid it.  As you learn My word and spend time in it, it will truly transform you.  It is innately powerful to cleanse and transform.  There is always something new to learn and deeper truths for Me to reveal.  My greatness is unsearchable.  You can never know all there is to know of Me even if you know My word, word for word.  “I AM” your teacher always and the lessons will become deeper and more exciting as you devote yourself to Me continually.

2 Timothy 3:1-4:22

What God said to me – You live in difficult days, and they will become even more difficult before I return.  Even those who say they believe are easily seduced by the world and the things in it.  “I AM” your anchor.  You must hold tight to Me and My word in order not to be sucked in.  My word is the thing that will make a difference – not just in your life, but in others.  Hold fast and do not compromise.  You must study it and memorize it.  You must teach it and live it.  You must pray it and speak it. In it is the power to save, the power to transform, the power to persevere, and the power to hold fast.  “I AM” the word.  Cling to it and you’ll be clinging to Me.

2 Timothy 1:1-2:25

What God said to me – My word is not chained.  It is powerful to accomplish My purpose.  You do not need to be eloquent.  You just need to devote yourself to My word and let Me bring it to mind as you need it and let me speak through you.  Present yourself to Me as a student to a teacher, as an apprentice to a master craftsman and let Me teach and train you to accurately handle My word.  It is not your job to convince or to save for “I AM” the one who will lead them to repentance and change their heart.  Your job is to gently speak and teach as I bring them to you.  I will take it from there.
