John 13:1-38

What God said to me – Servanthood is an attitude that demonstrates love and humility.  You can serve and yet not be a servant.  In order to please Me – to be like Me – you must be a servant – not just a server.  When you serve with an attitude of resentment, you’re just a server and not a servant.  You must learn not to think of service as a duty, but as an opportunity to be like Me, to show My love to others and to please Me.  Don’t long for or expect thanks and appreciation from those you serve.  Look to Me.  Long to please Me.  Sacrifice and servanthood are expressions of the extent of your love, not just for the ones you are serving, but for Me.  Serve faithfully with an attitude of love and someday you will hear me say, “Well done my good and faithful servant – well done.”

John 12:1-50

What God said to me – When you are facing a trial or difficult circumstance look to My example. In the last few days before My crucifixion, I was troubled, knowing what was coming. Rather than try to escape the trial, I turned to My Father. I knew this trial was part of His plan for Me so that He would be glorified. In the same way, when you face a trial, turn to us. Seek Our glory as We carry out Our plan for your life. Sometimes glory comes in the form of a miraculous rescue. Sometimes it comes as We walk beside you, sustaining you, and seeing you through the trial. Either way the result is the same when you trust in Us – We are glorified in heaven and on earth as Our plan for you is fulfilled.

John 10:1-11:57

What God said to me – My sheep hear My voice and follow Me not only when I call them and lead them through the gate but when I call them out.  They hear My voice and follow where I lead them.  You are My sheep.  Listen to My voice and follow Me.  Don’t think so much about where “I AM” leading you as that it is I who am leading you.  Keep your eyes on Me knowing that “I AM” the good shepherd and not on where “I AM” taking you.  You must learn to trust that the path I have chosen is the best one for you to walk.  Don’t spend so much time looking down at the path asking why this way or can’t I go some other way.  Look to Me and follow where I lead and trusting My plan.
