John 8:1-9:41

What God said to me – He who belongs to God hears what He says – I told that to the Pharisees and it is still the same today.  “I AM” the one who gives you ears to hear and eyes to see, not just physically, but spiritually.  You can look around at the world and see Me at work where those who do not know Me cannot.  What they see as disaster or turmoil, you see as My hand carrying out My plans.  They are afraid because they don’t know Me or know that “I AM” in control.  You know Me so when you see these things trust Me, knowing “I AM” in control.  Come to Me when you don’t understand so I can teach you and show you the truth.  I have given you eyes to see and ears to hear so I can reveal Myself and My plans to you.

John 7:1-53

What God said to me – The Jews were always amazed at My teaching.  They used to ask how I got such learning when I never studied.  What they never understood was that spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  You could go to the greatest schools in the world and attain the highest degrees but if you don’t know Me you won’t be able to understand even the most basic spiritual truth.  The things I said and taught were the things My Father taught Me as I spent time with Him.  I said nothing that was not from Him.  In the same way “I AM” your teacher and you must spend much time with Me in order to learn all I have for you.  You must work on incorporating the things I teach you into your daily conversations.  Learn to share what I say, not what you think.

John 5:1-6:70

What God said to me – I tell you the truth – I always tell you the truth.  Listen to Me.  Spend much time in My word for there you will hear My voice for “I AM” the word.  It is through My word that I direct you.  The work of God is to believe in Me who He had sent.  You want to do the work of God, then believe in Me.  It is through My word that you come to know Me deeply and through My word that I direct you what you should do.  It is through My word that I refresh you and reveal Myself to you.  It is easy to let this time become routine and to just go through the motions so you can say you did it and go on with your day.  But I tell you the truth – My words are life so approach My word with a sense of urgency each day.  You need to hear from Me.  You need to know Me.
