Luke 6:1-7:50

What God said to me – A student is not above his teacher but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher. That is why you must spend so much time with Me and in My word.  It is a training time and a transforming time.  For as you learn more and more either through My word itself or through the circumstances I choose for you to go through, you become more and more like Me.  This is to be a life long exercise.  Although you can mature as a believer, you never truly arrive.  You can never know all there is to know about Me for that is beyond your comprehension and grasp.  But each day as you spend time with Me in prayer and study and training, I reveal more of Myself to you.  Never give up and never stop seeking for I continually have more to show you and teach you.

Luke 4:1-5:39

What God said to me – At times life can be overwhelming either with so much going on at every turn or difficulties that seem more than you can bear.  That is why Jesus often came alone with Me to a solitary place.  When you come alone to Me, I can minister to you in ways that it is difficult for you to receive in the midst of it all and I can refresh and revive you so you can go on.  It’s not that I can’t and don’t minister to you in the midst of life and all of its activities and difficulties, it’s that time alone with Me is special because you can focus in a way not possible amid all the distractions.  Come away with Me often so I can share with you and teach you and reveal Myself to you.  The solitary times are when you come to truly know Me.

Luke 2:1-3:38

What God Said to me – Do you live in such a way that I could say to the world ‘this is My child in whom “I AM” well pleased’?  That’s My desire for all My children.  My pleasure doesn’t come from your “doing”, it comes from your walk.  As you spend time with Me in fellowship and seeking to know Me and My word and then walk as I direct, “I AM” pleased.  It’s much easier to serve Me in ministry than it is in your daily life of family and work.  You must learn not to separate your life into compartments where in some places you seek Me and in others you handle it yourself.  Life with Me – walking with Me is to be all encompassing if you truly want to please Me.  Whatever you are doing or saying or even thinking, you must seek to glorify and please Me.
