Genesis 6-9, Psalms 3

What God said to me – “I AM” your shield and the lifter of your head.  Walk with Me and you can have the assurance that everything you encounter is because of My will and plan.  I will shield you from everything else as long as you stay by My side.  That’s why when you are walking with Me you can know that when something bad or difficult happens, it is allowed by Me for your good – otherwise I would have shielded you from it.  So don’t be discouraged during difficult times – let Me lift your head and assure you that “I AM” in control.

Genesis 3-5, Psalms 2

What God said to me – Never hide your sin from Me or try to hide from Me.  I know all – What you did and where you are.  Instead of hiding, you must learn to run toward Me.  Our relationship demands openness.  Feeling shame for your sin is a good thing, but hiding is not.  That awful feeling you have when our fellowship is broken can be a deterrent to future sin as you determine to never again do something that will cause such shame.  So when you find yourself in that place where you just want to hide from Me or ignore Me. Reject the natural inclination to avoid Me and run to Me, your Abba, for I long to forgive you and restore you.

Genesis 1-2, Psalms 1

What God said to me – Delight yourself in Me and in My word.  Think about it all day long. In everything and everyone you encounter refer to My word . . . think about what I say . . .  think about what I would do . . . ask Me constantly how you should respond or what you should do. As you consistently do this your roots will grow deep, and you will grow in My nurture and admonition.  As you walk with Me consistently you will see yourself begin to change.  You will begin to look and act more like Me.  Consistency is what I want to focus on this year.  Make this your habit.
