Matthew 8:1-9:37

What God said to me – “I AM” willing to do so much more than My people ask or expect.  “I AM” limited by their lack of faith and lack of interest.  Don’t be afraid to ask anything of Me, especially the things you think of as “small”.  You don’t ask because you don’t want to bother Me, or you think I’m not interested in the small stuff of life, or you think you can handle it yourself.  The truth is “I AM” interested in every aspect of your life . . . every detail.  It’s as you see Me act in the small things that your faith begins to grow and as it grows, you learn to trust Me for all things.  That is what it means to walk with Me moment by moment.  Ask Me about everything. I want to engage in a lifelong conversation with you.  Come talk with Me as we walk together.

Matthew 5:1-7:28

What God said to me – Seek Me.  Seek Me.  Seek Me.  That sums up how you need to live your life.  Seek Me.  “I AM” all you need or will ever need.  “I AM” your ultimate resource.  I will provide everything you need.  I will teach you everything you need to know.  Come to Me daily and let Me teach you.  Ask Me questions when you don’t understand, and I will explain My truths and show you how they apply in each situation you encounter.  I did nothing without first learning from My Father.  Let Me teach you what it means to live life that way.  Seek Me . . . hear from Me . . . obey Me.  Spend time with Me and I will teach you how to live like this.

Matthew 3:1-4:25

What God said to me – “It is written” – that was My response to temptation.  But not just to temptation but to everything I ever encountered.  My word has the answers for life and My Spirit is your teacher.  You must spend much time reading, studying, and asking questions.  As you struggle through and wrestle with the difficult passages, I will teach you.  I will shine My light so you can see and understand.  As you do this, it will become a part of your very life.  The things you do and the things you say will be said and done in the light of what you have learned from Me.  I want you to learn to lead an “it is written” life where everything you say and do is based on My word.  To so this, you must know My word.  To know My word, you must spend much time in it.  Devote yourself to My word.
