John 18:1-19:42

What God said to me – Who is it you want?  The answer to that question will determine the way you live your life and reveal your heart.  For My children the answer must always be Me first and foremost – above spouse – above family – above self.  Do you wake up each day longing to hear My voice and excited to hear what I have for you that day or am I a duty to be fulfilled so you can go on with your day?  Or am I something you put off until you have time?  A lifelong conversation and friendship with Me are only possible if you are willing to make an effort.  I will remind you and wait for you, but I will never force Myself on you.  “I AM” always glad to spend time with you – let’s have a great day together.

John 17:1-26

What God said to me – I brought glory to My Father by completing the work He gave Me to do.  In the same way, you bring glory to Us by completing those things We give you to do.  It is not the size of the task that brings glory, but your obedience in carrying it out.  Are you faithful?  Are you diligent?  Are you quick to obey?  The scope of your ministry is not what is important to Me, but your faithfulness, your diligence, and your obedience are.  You may not be called to be a great evangelist, but you are still called to reveal Me to those I give to you whether in your family or in your workplace or in your church or in your community.  Live for Me.  Look like Me and I will be glorified through you.

John 15:1-16:33

What God said to me – But I tell you the truth – it is for your good . . .  whatever it is – when you follow Me and obey Me, I work all things for your good.  I know it’s difficult for you to always see and understand that right away.  You grieve and you struggle, and you doubt because you can’t see the end from the beginning like I can.  Although in the midst of a trial that you are struggling through you may not understand My purpose or see how I can work it out for good, you must trust that I will.  That is what it truly means to walk by faith.  Doubts may come but don’t wallow in them. Turn quickly to Me and let me reassure you and comfort you. Let Me turn your grief and doubts into joy and faith.
