Luke 15:1-16:31

What God said to me – I see your heart and I know your thoughts.  Responding outwardly in the correct way is not enough.  True obedience is also of the heart.  You must not only do the right thing, but you must also think the right thing.  You must learn to respond without grumbling or mumbling in your heart.  When the enemy causes you to think a thought that you know is not pleasing to Me, you must reject it immediately.  Don’t dwell on it or race from there to other thoughts of your own.  Set your mind on things above.  Allow Me to cleanse your heart and mind.  I think for you this is easier done with circumstances than with people.  Just remember – people are not your enemy, there are many reasons why they are the way they are.  Turn to Me and let Me show you them through My eyes.

Luke 12:1-14:35

What God said to me – Walking with me, serving Me is not something you turn on and off or do when it’s convenient.  On days when there’s nothing pressing, don’t take the day off and do as you please.  Spend that time with Me and in My word.  Those “down” times are the times I use to refresh and restore you, so you are ready when opportunities arise for service or ministry.  Always be vigilant and ready to serve when a need arises.  It’s when you let down your guard or you’re doing your own thing rather than seeking Me that trials and circumstances can overwhelm.  I don’t always let you know what is coming, but I always prepare you for it if you let Me. Don’t waste the little time you have.  Spend it with Me.

Luke 10:1-11:54

What God said to me – Don’t ever take our relationship for granted because it is special . . . it is unique.  I choose who I reveal Myself to and I have chosen you.  When I reveal Myself to you, I also reveal My Father to you for anyone who sees and knows Me, sees and knows My Father.  I love you and long to teach you many truths and to reveal My will to you, but don’t allow that to become the source of your joy.  Rejoice in Me and in who “I AM”.  It is a subtle difference, but a difference to be sure.  When you begin to focus on what you learn or what I show you rather than on Me, pride enters in.  Those things happen because of our relationship – they are not THE relationship.  Look to Me and rejoice in Me.
