Job 34:1-42:17

What God said to me – I fix limits on everything – the river cannot overflow its banks or the ocean crash over the shore without My permission.  “I AM” the one in control of the world and I have a plan that “I AM” carrying out.  I fix limits on what happens in your life.  I never allow you to encounter more than you can bear.  Take comfort in that thought.  You can also take comfort in this – everything you encounter is part of My plan.  Instead of asking “Why is this happening to me”, begin to ask “What are you doing in me, Lord?” Ask “How do I need to respond so I can bring glory to you?”  Perspective is so important – try to see things from My perspective and then respond.

Job 25:1-33:33

What God said to me – I see the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning.  You can’t see beyond this very moment.  That is why it is so important that you know Me . . . that you walk with Me.  When you live only for the moment . . . for what you can see . . . then your decisions are totally different than if you could see things from an eternal perspective.  In order to make the right decisions, to walk in the right direction, you must look beyond what you can see to Me.  Seek Me.  Seek My direction.  Ask for wisdom and I will give it to you.  Learn to live for the eternal, not for the moment and you will live in My will.  Seek Me for I know the plans I have for you.

Job 20:1-24:25

What God said to me – Treasure My word more than anything.  In it you will find all you need for life and godliness.  In it you will learn of Me and My character.  Spend much time there for you will come to know Me better.  The more difficult things are in your life . . . the busier you become, cling to My word and devote yourself to it.  I know it seems paradoxical to take more time when you’re busy, but I can help you if you will turn to Me.  I can help you focus.  I can help you prioritize.  With My help you can accomplish more than you ever thought possible.  Through it all, I will give you peace.  I will be your calm in the midst of the storm.  Turn to Me.  Make time.  Take time.
