2 Samuel 13:1-15:37

What God said to me – You must always choose Me and My ways and not follow after the world.  That is not always easy to do.  Sometimes it will cost you to choose Me, but trust Me, it will be worth it in the end.  You will not be considered the most popular or the most fun.  Sometimes it will be the exact opposite – but you will be pleasing to Me.  Let Me fill that longing in your heart.  Come close to Me and let Me be the friend you can’t wait to talk to or hear from.  I know you don’t understand why, but I truly want to be your friend and confidant.

2 Samuel 11:1-12:31

What God said to me – When you fall, you must get up, repent and come worship Me.  Don’t avoid Me.  Don’t wait.  Run to Me and fall at My feet.  It’s very easy to try to avoid Me . . . to convince yourself you are not worthy to approach Me.  Doing so only hurts you more.  What you need most at those times is to come to Me, look into My face, and hear Me say I love you still.  I forgive you always.  Talk to Me.  Share your heart and let Me share Mine.  Once you learn to do this, you’ll find the times of falling away are much less often.  Know that you must always come to Me – “I AM” always there for you.

2 Samuel 8:1-10:19

What God said to me – I do what is good in My sight.  “I AM” in control so you can be certain “I AM” carrying out My plan and that it is good.  You must learn not to focus on your circumstances, but on Me.  When something happens, whether bad or good in your eyes, you must learn to turn to Me and ask Me to show you the circumstance from My perspective.  Let Me show you how it is good in My sight.  Let Me show you what “I AM” doing in your life and the lives of those around you.  Great peace will come as you learn to turn to Me first rather than reacting to the circumstances.
