Mark 1:1-3:34

What God said to me – “He taught as one who had authority not as the teachers of the law”.  Jesus could speak and teach with authority because He spent so much time with Me.  I taught Him as He took the time to come aside with Me.  That is what it takes – time aside with Me.  The authority comes as you spend time with Me, hearing from Me, and learning My heart.  Only as you know Me intimately can you speak with authority, and you can only know Me intimately as you take the time to come apart with Me.  I know it’s not easy.  There are so many distractions – and not just of bad things – many of them are good.  It takes commitment, devotion, and diligence to come aside and spend time with Me, but this time will transform everything else you do.

Matthew 28:1-20

What God said to me – I go ahead of you wherever you go so don’t be afraid.  “I AM” always with you.  You can walk in confidence when you know that . . . when you walk with Me and follow where I lead.  The problem with so many of my children is that they go off on their own and get into difficulties that I never intended for them had they been obedient.  Disobedience always has consequences and requires discipline to bring you back into following where “I AM” leading for I will never abandon you but will always come after you to bring you back to where you should be.  You will save yourself much heartache and grief if you will follow where I lead because I will go before you to clear the way.  Follow Me.

Matthew 27:1-66

What God said to me – Suffering is not easy but suffering unjustly is even more difficult.  Your natural reaction is to defend yourself – to make your case.  You need to learn how to act supernaturally rather than naturally.  In order to do this, you must stop and come to Me.  Ask Me how you should respond.  Sometimes it’s okay for you to defend yourself or explain the situation.  Other times I want you to keep silent and let Me defend you.  The key is that you don’t know how you should respond until you come to Me and ask.  Remember I use all things to accomplish My purpose and I will work all things for your good.  So when you are attacked, exercise self-control, stop, and ask Me what you should do and then obey and watch Me work.
