1 Kings 20:1-22:53

What God said to me – “First seek the counsel of the Lord.”  Wise words that few people listen to . . . even My own children.  Everyone goes their own way – doing what they deem as right – never seeking Me and My desires.  “I AM” God.  I have chosen to live within you so I can guide you in My ways, show you My will, teach you My word.  Turn to Me.  Seek My counsel.  Quit making plans on your own.  You must learn to lay aside your desires and seek Mine.  Seek Me each day even for those things you think are small.  I can use the smallest things to make a difference . . . to change lives.  It’s through the small things, day by day, that your faith grows.

1 Kings 17:1-19:21

What God said to me – I hear your cry.  I know your heart.  There is nothing going on in your life of which “I AM” not aware.  You are not alone.  “I AM” always with you.  “I AM” not a feeling or sensation . . . a bolt of lightning or a crash of thunder.  Whether you see Me or feel Me is not important.  Know that “I AM” there . . . trust in that . . . hold on to that.  “I AM” at work in your life always.  Open your eyes . . . look for Me.  A kind word from someone . . . a surprising circumstance . . . “I AM” always at work directing people and circumstances to bless and encourage you.  Look about.  Open your eyes.  You will see Me at work.

1 Kings 12:1-16:34

What God said to me – Oh that My people would follow Me and obey My word – what pain and sorrow they would have been spared.  I long for them to long for Me . . . to walk with Me . . . to serve Me . . . to fellowship with Me.  Study My word – learn about the blessings I gave to those who remained faithful and the terrible consequences reaped by those who didn’t.  It is My heart’s desire to bless you.  My child – stay close to Me and give Me that opportunity.  “I AM” holy.  “I AM” righteous.  I cannot, because of My very nature, bless sin and disobedience even in My own children.  I long to bless you, to shower on you all the good things I have.  Walk with Me.  Stay close.
