1 Chronicles 22-23, Romans 3:9-31, Psalms 12:1-18, Proverbs 19:13-34

What God said to me – Have you ever seen a play or a skit where one actor plays multiple roles?  Salvation is like that – I play all the roles – it is totally from Me.  “I AM” the Holy One who was offended by man’s sin.  “I AM” the judge who pronounces judgment.  “I AM” the righteous one who was publicly displayed as propitiation by My own blood.  “I AM” the sacrifice and the sacrificer.  “I AM” the just and the justifier.  “I AM” the one who pours out My wrath on sin.  “I AM” the one who pours out grace and mercy to those I call to save from the wrath.  “I AM” the one who draws and calls and gifts the faith necessary to believe.  There is nothing you can do to deserve or earn to gain salvation – it is all of Me because of My love and grace and mercy.  So, fall on your face before Me in love and gratitude and worship because “I AM”.

What God said to me – Often times a person with assets or wealth will set up a trust to hold them and assign a trustee to protect the assets and carry out their instructions regarding them.  In a similar way, I entrusted My word to the Jews and My instruction to them was for them to obey it and share it so others would come to know Me and worship Me.  For the most part, the Jews failed in their responsibility as My trustee because of their unbelief and disobedience. So, I turned to My church and entrusted My word to them to obey and to share it with others so they could come to know Me and worship Me.  My question to you is “how are you doing in your responsibility as trustee”?  Do you spend time to know and understand My word so you can obey it and share it?  My word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.  The world is struggling in darkness and desperately needs light, so be a faithful steward and share the treasure I have entrusted to you.

What God said to me – Nothing makes a parent prouder than for their children to have great success and accomplishments that bring honor to the family name because they feel like it reflects on them.  Conversely, when children’s actions are notorious it also reflects on the family name, only negatively – think Adolf Hitler, Charles Ponzi, John Dillinger, Lee Harvey Oswald – no matter how wonderful the parents might have been, the view of society is negative because of the children’s actions.  In the book of Romans, Paul wrote how the Jews touted the fact they were My chosen people and how I had given them the Law, but they themselves didn’t follow the Law.  They boasted in the Law, but in their breaking of the Law, they dishonored Me and blasphemed My name among the Gentiles who were the very people they were supposed to reach.  Similarly, there are many who loudly tell the world they are Christians, but their lifestyle is ungodly and in doing so they blaspheme My name – their hypocrisy brings dishonor to Me and turns people away from seeking Me.  You must purposely live godly lives so that people will see your good works and glorify Me.  When you live this way and lift up My name, I will use you to draw people to Me.
