Leviticus 9:7-10:20, Mark 4:26-5:20, Psalms 37:30-40, Proverbs 10:6-7

What God said to me – They say that hindsight is twenty-twenty and it’s difficult not to look back and say “what if” and to wish you hadn’t done the things you did before you came to know Me or that you had come to know Me and serve Me sooner or even to regret your sins and failures afterward.  However, as you surrender to Me and seek to walk in faith, you need to forget the things that lie behind and press on to the mark of your high calling and trust that I will use all you have done and experienced in your life for your good and My glory.  Look at the demon possessed man in the country of the Gerasene’s.  After I delivered him, he begged to come with Me, but I didn’t let him.  I sent him back home and told him to tell everyone there what great things I had done for him and how I had mercy on him.   He obeyed and everyone who heard him was amazed.  So, as you walk with Me, don’t regret your past or hide it, but use it as motivation and inspiration to tell everyone about the great things I have done for you and how I delivered you.  I have called you where I called you – be faithful!

Leviticus 7:28-9:6, Mark 3:31-4:25, Psalms 37:12-29, Proverbs 10:5

What God said to me – Have you ever stumbled around in the dark looking for a flashlight because the power went out?  It’s great when you can go right to it and flip it on and see.  But what if it’s been so long since you used it that you can’t remember where it is, or the batteries are bad, or it wasn’t put back where it was supposed to be – then you struggle in the dark.  My word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path, but for it to be that for you, you need to be in it and know it.  I gave you My word for your help and benefit – to instruct you and guide you – to teach you how to walk in a manner worthy of your calling.  It’s of very little use to you if you put it away and rarely use it.  When something happens in your life – when you need help and guidance – when the “power goes out”, are you able to go right to it without stumbling around?  I use this time to teach you and train you for just such times.  I want you to hide My word in your heart, not put it away in a drawer.  It is living and active and meant to be used every day.

Leviticus 6:1-7:27, Mark 3:7-30, Psalms 37:1-11, Proverbs 10:3-4

What God said to me – Remember the song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”?  It sounds simplistic, naïve even, yet there is some truth to it.  People who constantly worry are not happy people.  They are constantly fretting about everything – violence in society – wars around the world – the economy – inflation – how they are going to get by – their kids – the future and on and on.  The one thing that is true of all people who worry, and fret is that their eyes are on themselves and their circumstances and not on Me.  It’s easy to fall into that trap when you are constantly bombarded with so much bad news.  So, how are you as My child to keep from falling into worrying and fretting?  You keep your eyes on Me.  When the farmer is plowing the field, he focuses on an object up ahead that is not moving so his row stays straight, and he stays on track.  “I AM” to always be the object of your focus.  Look to Me for direction.  Look to Me for hope.  Trust My sovereignty in your life and in the world and delight in My plan no matter what is happening in your life and in the world.  “I AM” the author and the finisher of your faith so I do what is necessary to grow you and transform you into the person I died for you to become.
