Numbers 11-14, Psalms 31
What God said to me – Numbers 11 begins with, “Now the people became like those who complain of adversity in the hearing of the Lord.” Your response naturally is “well of course they were complaining – it was adversity!!!” However, I want you to consider this – I saved them miraculously out of slavery in Egypt – they walked on dry land through the Red Sea – I gave them My Law and I tabernacled among them – I gave them manna to eat and water to drink – I was personally leading them to the promised land – they were exactly where I led them and yet they complained. Now consider your life – I have saved you – I tabernacle within you – “I AM” leading you to the promised land. Following Me is taking the narrow path but it is not always the easiest path – you will face adversity as I lead you. Difficult times – difficult people – difficult circumstances are where you learn the most and I build your faith and transform you as you cling to Me. Your complaints demonstrate your lack of faith and trust in My sovereign plan for your life. Do you really believe My plan is for your good and My glory? If so, stop complaining and begin to praise!
