Daniel 5-6, Isaiah 25, 2 Corinthians 5:14-21, 6:1-13

What God said to me – My prophet, Isaiah, understood that all the things that were happening in his day and all the things I had him prophecy that were to happen were based on plans I made long ago and that I would carry them out with perfect faithfulness.  He knew that there would come a day when My children would say “this is the Lord for whom we have waited, let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”  I will swallow up death for all time and wipe away all of your tears.  Keep this in mind at all times as you go through trials and difficulties – as you see all of the upheaval in the world as leaders and governments change – as people cry out for or against all that is happening.  Remember it is all based on plans I made long ago and you can trust that I will carry them out in faithfulness.  There is soon coming a day when you will rejoice in the day you have long awaited.  You will see Me on My throne, and you will be home.

Daniel 3-4, Isaiah 24, 2 Corinthians 4:10-18, 5:1-15

What God said to me – The focus of the world is superficial.  They look at how you look rather than at what kind of person you are in your heart.  I look at the heart.  So, where is your focus in your day-to-day life?  How does the time you spend on your outer appearance and physical body compare to the time you devote to Me?  No matter how fit you are or how much time you spend exercising, your body is decaying and will continue to do so, but “I AM” at work renewing your inner man day by day.  Once you become My child I begin transforming you into My image.  It begins with your heart, but your physical transformation is not until much later when I come again for you.  Your physical transformation will not be a process – it will happen in the twinkling of an eye when you shed your temporal body and put on your eternal one.  You heart transformation – your sanctification – is a process and this time with Me is an important part of that process so devote your time and effort to what will make an eternal difference.

Daniel 2, Isaiah 23, 2 Corinthians 3:12-18, 4

What God said to me – There is so much going on in the world today that people are anxious and without hope – they can see no good ending for all that is happening.  One of the reasons for this hopelessness is that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel which is also the source of true hope.  I have shown My light into the hearts of My children and now your responsibility is to shine that light before men.  The longer you walk with Me and the closer you get to Me your life will reflect My light.  Like Moses, your countenance should even reflect My light to others.  Like Daniel, the way you live should reflect your walk with Me.  Like Paul you should say “because I believe, I speak.” People need to hear you say what you believe and how it affects your life.  You don’t have to have all the answers, but you can point them to the God of heaven.
