Nahum 3, Isaiah 54, Revelation 7

What God said to me – Long ago I used My prophet Nahum to prophesy about the coming judgment of Assyria.  I told them, “Behold “I AM” against you” and judgment fell, and their nation was destroyed.  There is nothing more terrible than for a person or a nation to hear that “I AM” against them.  There is coming a day when I will no longer hold back My hand of judgment and the world will hear Me say, “Behold “I AM” against you.”  But to you, My child, I say, ““I AM” for you and if I be for you, who can be against you?”  Never forget this – as you go throughout your day, remember “I AM” for you.  Whatever you encounter, remember “I AM” for you.  I have a plan for your life that is for your good and My glory because “I AM” for you.  “I AM” using everything in your life, “good” and “bad” to transform you into My image because “I AM” for you.  “I AM” coming again because “I AM” for you.

Nahum 1-2, Isaiah 52:13-15, 53, Revelation 6

What God said to me – People like to focus on My love and mercy – even My children.  They don’t want to think about My wrath or anger or judgment.  I chose Nahum to prophesy about My judgment of Assyria.  His name means “comforter” and yet he was prophesying about wrath and destruction.  You live in a world where it seems like evil is prevailing – where perverse people are elevated and successful – where the righteous are mocked and suppressed and defeated.  But take comfort that it will not always be like this.  “I AM” a God who will take vengeance on My adversaries and pour out My wrath on My enemies but “I AM” also slow to anger and give room for repentance and redemption.  So, hold on no matter what is happening around you and in the world.  Trust that My plan and My timing are perfect.  I will not leave the guilty unpunished for long and I will come for you.  Take comfort in this.

Micah 7, Isaiah 52:13-15, 53, Revelation 5

What God said to me – In Revelation you read that God had a book that was sealed.  When he heard that no one could look into the book or open it, the Apostle John wept until he heard there was one who could open it, the Lion of Judah, the Lamb who was slain.  “I AM” the word which was in the beginning.  No One can truly understand can truly understand the word apart from Me because spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  You must have My Spirit to teach you and guide you into all truth.  You have the wonderful opportunity to know Me and to understand My plan and how “I AM” at work in the world to redeem those who are Mine.  I have unsealed My word for My children and in it you’ll find comfort and hope and peace.  When you don’t understand I will illuminate it for you and teach you.  You have an unsealed copy – don’t let it go to waste and gather dust.
