Esther 7-8, Isaiah 42, 2 Thessalonians 3

What God said to me – As the time of My return draws near, it is more important than ever that you walk in a manner worthy of your calling.  You must be consistent and walk in a godly manner in every place – at work – at home – at leisure – at church.  If you truly want to make an eternal impact in the lives of others you must be consistent in your walk with Me in every area or people will reject your message because of your hypocrisy.  Are you known as a hard worker and diligent at whatever task is before you or are you known as lazy or slothful?  Are you known for a critical attitude or are you known as an encourager?  Are you known as honest and truthful or do you “shade” the truth to your advantage?  Do you build others up or do you tear them down?  Paul was able to tell the Thessalonians to follow his example to live a godly life.  Can you say that?

Esther 5-6, Isaiah 41:8-29, 2 Thessalonians 2

What God said to me – As you read the book of Esther notice that “I AM” not mentioned by name and yet My sovereignty and My power are displayed throughout.  Without My fore planning what are the odds that a Jewish girl would become queen over a country at a time when there was a plot to kill all the Jews?  What about the odds of her uncle breaking up an assassination plot against the king?  What about that same king having a sleepless night and having historical records read to put him to sleep and the one chosen to be read was about the assassination plot?  Coincidences?  Absolutely not!  What you see is a demonstration of My sovereignty and My long-established plans being carried out.  So, as you see the news and all that is going on around the world, remember this account.  Things may be happening so fast and changing so quickly that you can’t keep up and no one is sure what is going to happen next but be assured that I do.  “I AM” in control and carrying out My plans to the “t”.  So, don’t be disturbed or afraid no matter what you see or hear.  Remember Esther and trust My sovereignty.

Esther 3-4, Isaiah 41:1-20, 2 Thessalonians 1

What God said to me – When I said to forget the things that lie behind and to press on toward the mark of your high calling, I didn’t mean to just forget the bad things – your failures – your defeats – I meant all things.  Don’t allow your walk with Me to become like the middle-aged guy who is constantly touting his great win in high school, living off of past glories and successes.  Just because you went on a mission trip or taught Sunday School in the past doesn’t mean that you are walking with Me and serving Me today.  You don’t reach the mark of your high calling until the end of the race so don’t stop pressing forward toward the goal.  You may retire from your secular job, but there is no retirement from your high calling so keep pressing forward.  Look for opportunities to minister and to share each day with those I bring across your path so that My name is glorified in you, and you are counted worthy of your calling.
