1 Kings 9-10, Psalms 119:113-128, John 7:1-24

What God said to me – The psalmist said,“It is time for the Lord to act, for they have broken Your laws.”  I know you long for this as you see the world moving further and further away from Me and accepting and promoting and even rejoicing in all manner of depravity.  Never forget that My timing is always perfect and that I have a plan that “I AM” carrying out.  When the time is right I will call My church home and pour out My wrath on the world.  Until that time you keep praying and looking for those who are receptive to Me.  To do that you can’t live in isolation, hunkered down and waiting.  You must be in the world, but not of it.  You must be My hands and feet in ministering to those who are hurting.  You must be vocal about who “I AM” and what I have done to save them from the judgment they are under so that those “I AM” calling will hear My voice through you and respond.

1 Kings 8, Psalms 119:97-112, John 6:25-71

What God said to me – Solomon built a beautiful temple for Me to live among My people and for My people to worship Me.  As opulent and beautiful as this temple was, it was destroyed when My people turned away from Me.  Its replacement was also destroyed when My people, Israel, again turned away from Me and rejected their Messiah.  So I turned to My church and rather than dwelling in a building made with hands and them coming to worship Me there, I now dwell within each one whom I have chosen to believe in Me.  Unlike believers of old, you don’t have to go somewhere to meet with Me and to worship – “I AM” always with you and in you  so your life should be one of constant worship.  As you walk with Me day by day and moment by moment, you should constantly feel worship welling up and overflowing in your life.

1 Kings 6-7, Psalms 119:81-96, John 6:1-40

What God said to me – People are shallow and easily led astray.  During His time on earth most of them followed My Son, Jesus, because He gave them free food and healed the sick.  They didn’t follow Him because He was My Son and their Savior and they believed in Him.  They followed Him because they thought He’d give them an easier life.  People are still doing the same today – they flock to those who promise them free stuff and an easier life.  The thing is I never promised My children an “easy” life – I promised them an abundant life – a life filled with joy and peace even in the midst of hardship and difficulty.  So as you hear all of the rhetoric and promises from your leaders pray – pray for discernment and wisdom but put your trust in Me.
