1 King7-8, Psalms 126, John 12:1-26

What God said to me – There was a great famine in Samaria, the capital city of the Northern Kingdom of Israel, and at the same time the Arameans were besieging the city.  It was a terrible time – the people were literally starving to death.  But I in My mercy miraculously intervened and caused the army of the Arameans to flee leaving behind their animals and food and supplies, but no one in the city knew of My mercy so their suffering continued.  But four lepers went to the camp and discovered what I had done so they ate and drank and enjoyed the bounty left behind.  But then they said, “We are not doing right.  This is a day of good news and we are keeping silent.”  So they went and told the people so they could reap the benefits of My mercy and be saved.  You are living in a time where there is a great famine of My word and people are literally dying because they don’t know that I in My mercy have provided for their salvation.  You know the truth so don’t keep silent.  Share the good news and give them the opportunity to share in the bountiful salvation My mercy has provided.

2 Kings 5-6, Psalms 125, John 11:21-57

What God said to me – My plan when I chose Israel was for them to be a light for the world to lead them to Me.  They were a tiny, insignificant nation and yet I wanted to use them.  I used an insignificant little Israeli girl who by her faithfulness changed the life of a mighty warrior from Aram, Naaman the leper, and he came to know that “I AM” God alone even in the midst of the idolatrous society he came from.  In the same way I want to use you to reach those around you – those you come in contact with.  Be vocal like the little Israeli girl to speak up and tell what I have done in your life and how I have met your needs.  Look at Jesus, My Son’s example.  When he prayed outside Lazarus’ tomb, He prayed out loud – He knew I always heard His prayers but He prayed out loud for the benefit of those who were there so they would know of His faith and trust in Me.  So when you pray for others don’t always pray in private but sometimes pray aloud – let them hear your heart and requests so that they can know you are Mine and know that you care for them.

2 Kings 3-4, Psalms 124, John 11:11-26

What God said to me – When Lazarus was sick his sisters sent for My Son, Jesus, to come and heal him, but He didn’t respond in the time and way that they wanted Him to do. Even though Lazarus died, the perfect timing of Jesus’ response brought glory to Me that I would not have received had He gone immediately and healed Lazarus. Remember this when you pray or have prayed for a long time and have not seen an answer. It’s easy to get bitter or discouraged and quit praying when I don’t respond when and in the way that you think I should. “I AM” sovereign, not just in the world, but in your life and My plan and My timing are always perfect and are for your good and My glory. Trust that the answer to your prayer is not delayed, but its timing is perfect.
