2 Kings 21-22, Psalms 133, John 15

What God said to me – Most people think that becoming a “Christian” is you making a decision, praying a prayer, going to church when you can, doing your best to be good, praying when you need something, and maybe occasionally reading your Bible.  But it’s so much more than that.  When I call you and you repent of your sin and believe in Me as your Savior, you  become My child.  You are connected to Me forever.  My Spirit dwells in you as your teacher and intercessor and seal that you are Mine.  I abide in you and you in Me – “I AM” the vine and you are a branch that bears fruit as a result of our relationship.  As you grow and mature in Me, I prune you so that you can bear even more fruit.  This pruning is not an easy process and is usually painful as I work in you cleansing and growing you into My image.  You are transformed and “I AM” glorified and the world knows that you are Mine.

2 Kings 19-20, Psalms 132, John 15

What God said to me – You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit.  Never think that you are not an important part of My kingdom and My family – I chose you!  I have a plan for you and “I AM” working it out.  Don’t be surprised when you experience persecution and hatred – I experienced it and they hated Me without cause.  When you are faced with trials and difficulty or persecution and hatred do as Hezekiah and come into My presence and lay them out before Me.  Cry out to Me and I will hear you and give you peace.  It’s not important that your circumstances change because they are only temporary – it’s important that your heart and mind change because your sanctification is eternal.  Trust My sovereignty wherever you find yourself and you will have peace wherever you find yourself.

2 Kings 17-18, Psalms 31, John 14:51-31

What God said to me – You live in a world where for the most part My word is rejected and people live however they want with no fear of judgment or consequences.  They have been told to live their “truth” and not My Truth.  They have been told there is freedom in living their “truth” but they have no idea they are being sucked into the disillusionment of the enemy and rather than freedom they are becoming slaves.  So how are you as My child supposed to interact with them?  Your opinion is of little consequence because as far as they are concerned it is your “truth” and okay for you but not for them.  What you are to do is to respond how Jesus responded – He told them the things He said were not His word, but Mine – that He only did and spoke the things I told Him to.  So you must know My word well enough that you can communicate My word and be very clear that it is My word.  If they reject it, they are rejecting Me and not you and you will have been a faithful watchman on the wall warning them of the judgment that comes from rejecting Me.
