Isaiah 15-18, Galatians 1, Psalms 58:1-11, Proverbs 23:12

What God said to me – Paul told the Galatians a long time ago that I gave Myself to rescue you from this present evil age.  This is still true today.  As you look around at all the sin and chaos in the world, don’t become anxious.  Remember this promise – “I AM” coming to rescue you.  It is not a pipe dream or a hope when you are afraid of what is happening in the world.  It is truth!  Look forward to that day.  Long for that day.  Pray for that day.  Live for that day.  Knowing that “I AM” coming for you should change the way you live.  This present age is evil and getting more so by the minute.  Pray constantly.  Seek Me continually.  Cling to Me.  Taking a stand is now coming at a price but don’t let that deter you.

Isaiah 12-14, 2 Corinthians 13:1-14, Psalms 57:1-11, Proverbs 23:9-11

What God said to me – Remember when you were in school and had a big test coming – you would study hard because you knew it was an important test – sometimes you used flash cards – sometimes you had a list of questions and you would review them repeatedly – however you studied for it you were constantly examining yourself and testing yourself to make sure you could pass the test.  There is a test coming that all people will face – the ultimate and final test when each one will stand before Me.  It is a pass-fail test based on only one criterion – is My Son, Jesus Christ in you.  Paul urged the Corinthians to test themselves to see if they were truly in the faith – to examine themselves.  So, I ask you the same question Paul asked them, “Do you recognize this about yourself, that Jesus Christ is in you?”  For Him to truly be “in” you, you must have repented of your sin and believed in Him.  If He is truly “in” you, your life will be changed – you are a new creation – you will have a heart that longs to please Me and grieve when you don’t.  Examine yourself – do you pass the test?

Isaiah 10-11, 2 Corinthians 12:11-21, Psalms 56:1-13, Proverbs 23:6-8

What God said to me – David said, “When I am afraid, I will put My trust in You.  In God whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid.”  Notice the progression – David was afraid and he knew he shouldn’t be afraid because he knew Me and knew I had a plan I was working out in his life, so he paused and regrouped.  He determined to trust Me in spite of the circumstances, in spite of his fear because he knew My word and trusted My plan.  When you are afraid – when things are not going as you planned or hoped – follow David’s example.  Stop and regroup.  Reflect on My word.  Reflect on who “I AM” and begin to praise My word and My promises and you will begin to trust that “I AM” with you and working out My plan for you, for your good and for My glory.
