Genesis 15-17, Psalms 6

What God said to me – I talked with Abraham often, but when I finished talking to him each time, I went up from him.  Think about that – Abraham was a man of faith – a righteous man – I chose him to be the father of My people – he was My friend and yet I went up from him.  Now think about yourself – you are My child – like Abraham, I chose you.  I have given you My word and My Spirit to abide in you constantly, permanently.  Like Abraham, I speak to you, but I do not go up from you – I live with you and in you – this one thing alone should be a cause of constant rejoicing and worship in your life.  “I AM” with you always – I will never leave you or forsake you – rejoice and worship!

Genesis 12-14, Psalms 5

What God said to me – I speak to My people – you can see that across history – you can see it throughout My word. I spoke to Abraham.  I recorded it so you would know. It is not that I no longer speak – it’s that My people no longer listen. They don’t want to hear from Me because they are comfortable in their lives and entrenched in the world. Don’t be like them – seek Me out – be still and listen for My voice. I will speak – not just to give you direction, but to fellowship with you – I love you.

Genesis 10-11, Psalms 4

What God said to me – I search your mind and heart.  I know the depths of you that even you do not know and yet I love you still.  I have set you apart for Myself to be my very own.  I long to hear your voice as you cry out to Me . . . as you share with Me . . . as you lift up My name.  There is nothing too small or insignificant to bring to Me.  I care about the details of your life.  Don’t think that because others are experiencing such great difficulties you shouldn’t come to Me with trivial things – I care about all – I control all – I want to be Lord of all.  I love you.
