Genesis 12-15

What God said to me – “I AM’ the one who empowers nations and causes them to rise and who judges them and causes them to fall.  Men think they are in control, but they are not.  I have laid out My plans and no man can change them.  Know this for certain – the world stage is not being set or manipulated by men.  “I AM’ carrying out My plan to accomplish My purpose.  Do not fear or be dismayed by world news.  Do not feel like things are hopeless for “I AM” at work bringing My plan to fruition.  Hundreds of years may pass or a day – it is the same to Me.  I see the end from the beginning.  Look to Me and My promises for what is in store for My children.

Genesis 8-11

What God said to me – I know when you are in the midst of trials you feel like you are alone and I don’t remember you.  When you feel like this, look at Noah – not only was I the one to put him in the midst of the flood, “I AM” the one who brought him out of it in My perfect timing.  I carried out My plan for his life and for the world.  Noah’s response was worship – he built an altar and worshipped Me.  Make that your response even before the trial is over.  Worship Me.  It will help you to get through the trial triumphantly.  It will deepen your relationship with Me as you turn to Me.  “I AM” an ever present help in time of trouble.  I will comfort and strengthen you.

Genesis 4-7

What God said to me – In a world full of sin, where people choose to follow their flesh and to go their own way, I always seek out those whose hearts are inclined toward Me and who want to know Me and do the things that please Me.  It is those people I covenant with.  You must stay close to Me to keep your heart inclined toward Me.  If you wander away, your heart will follow.  You must be diligent to protect your heart or you will find yourself justifying your sin.  The more you justify your sin, the harder it is to return to Me so guard your heart and mind – leave no room for the flesh to draw you away from Me.
