Job 4-6, Psalms 119:161-176

What God said to me – You are Mine and I will not let you go.  When you go astray, I will seek you out and bring you back.  You are Mine.  You are My child and I do what is necessary to transform you into My image.  I discipline My children for that purpose, not to punish, but to train and to teach.  Don’t assume that all bad things or difficult things that happen are punishment.  Most of the time, they are for training or testing.  You need to know that you can endure.  You need to know that you will be faithful to Me no matter what.  You need to know that you are being transformed.

Job 1-3, Psalms 119:145-160

What God said to me – You waste so much time on those things that are temporal and not eternal.  When the temporal becomes your focus, you turn away from Me for “I AM” eternal.  My word is eternal.  I have created you and saved you for eternity.  Start living like it!  Focus on those things that have eternal value.  When you don’t, you begin to slip into sin as you slip away from Me.  Time is growing short so stop wasting it!  Set your mind on things above and not on earthly things.  You never know at what point you will encounter difficulty or adversity.  You will not be able to navigate that path if you are engrossed in your sin.  The only way you will be prepared is by repenting and turning back to walk with Me.
