1 Kings 13-15, Psalms 81

What God said to me – Evil is all about and wickedness is blatant.  Things that used to be hidden are now out in the open.  I cannot long hold back.  Judgment must come so righteousness is restored.  Even My people do not listen to Me or long after Me.  You must constantly guard your heart and mind.  Don’t succumb to the temptation to be a part of the group.  It is better to stand apart with Me than to compromise in order to be accepted.

1 Kings 10-12, Psalms 80

What God said to me – Do you see what a disaster it is when people go their own way instead of following Me?  Look at Jeroboam and learn from his rebellion – for that is what it was.  I promised to establish his kingdom if he would just trust Me and follow Me, but he looked at the circumstances and could not see how it could be done. So, he devised his own plan which was contrary to My plan – it was a way which seemed right to him but was far from what I told him.  It was lack of trust in My ability to do what I said that caused him to try to manipulate the circumstances to “help”. Trust is essential in walking with Me.  Trust Me to work on your behalf.

1 Kings 7–9, Psalms 79

What God said to me – All I do, I do for the glory of My own name and for the love of my children.  As I work to accomplish My purpose in the world it is for the glory of My name.  All that I have said, I will do so the world will know that I alone am God.  They may not acknowledge it now, but there is coming a day when they will.  I also am at work in the world pouring out My love on My children.  As I accomplish My purpose, the kingdom which I have promised them will be established and all they long for will come to fruition.  As you walk with Me, think about that – yearn for that time when “I AM” seated on My throne ruling over the whole earth.
