Deuteronomy 14:1-17:20

What God said to me – You are My child.  I have separated you and all of My children from the world.  You are My treasure and “I AM” your God and Father.  Honor Me. Worship Me. Spend much time with Me and in My word for as you do, you learn to revere Me.  Like a child, I teach you day by day.  As you learn and grow, My teaching and interaction with you will become deeper, more intimate.  I will slowly but surely transform you into My image.  You will begin to act more and more like Me and think more and more like Me.  There is nothing that pleases a father more than to hear it said that his child looks and acts like him.  You are My child.

Deuteronomy 12:1-13:18

What God said to me – “I AM” God and I alone am worthy of your praise and worship.  I desire your worship but I will not share your devotion.  You must love Me with all of your heart and soul and mind and strength.  Stay close to Me.  Don’t let anything else creep in to steal your affections.  Where do you spend your time – not just physically, but mentally?  Are you setting your mind on Me or daydreaming about ungodly things.  Guard your heart and mind so you don’t stray from Me.  Stay close.  Spend much time with Me in My word so you don’t become ensnared.

Deuteronomy 8:1-11:32

What God said to me – My eyes are continually on you because I care for you.  You are Mine.  I long for you to have your eyes continually on Me . . . always looking to Me for your every need.  “I AM” your provider.  I give you all you need for life and godliness.  I have circumcised your heart and made a covenant with you that can never be broken.  You are Mine.  “I AM” your inheritance.  All that “I AM”, I give to you.  You must walk in the light of that truth.  I have separated you out from the world and adopted you as My own.  Walk in confidence knowing that I will provide all you need to accomplish what I called you to do.
