1 Samuel 16-19, Proverbs 27:1-14

What God said to me – As you go through life in the day-to-day encounters, good or bad, easy or difficult, remember you go in My name because you belong to Me.  Make a conscious effort to remember that each day so that when you interact with those I bring across your path, you are acting and responding as I would.  You must not dishonor My name or bring Me into disrepute because of your actions.  Most of those who do not know Me will only see Me through those who belong to Me.  You must be consistent in your walk so you are constantly reflecting Me to them.  Don’t let inconsistency on your part be a cause for them to reject Me.

1 Samuel 13-15, Proverbs 26:17-28

What God said to me – To walk with Me in obedience is not to guess what you think I would want and to do it or to choose how you would honor Me – it is to seek My face, listen to My voice, and to do what I command you to do.  Don’t do what you think is best and then try to justify it to Me.  To do so is to reject My word.  When you reject My word, then you reject Me.  Commit yourself to walk with Me no matter what the cost.

1 Samuel 10-12, Proverbs 26:1-16

What God said to me – Following Me begins with commitment on your part.  You must listen to My voice and take a stand.  You must not turn aside or get distracted by the things of the world.  I know this is not easy.  The world is constantly distracting you from Me and it is difficult to stay focused.  When you find yourself straying away, you must learn to stop, re-focus, and quickly return.  Don’t allow sin to keep you from me but turn back to Me quickly for sin cannot profit or deliver you – only I can.  I will not abandon you for you are Mine.  I will come after you, not just for your sake, but for Mine also.  I love you.
