2 Timothy 3:1-4:22

What God said to me – You live in difficult days, and they will become even more difficult before I return.  Even those who say they believe are easily seduced by the world and the things in it.  “I AM” your anchor.  You must hold tight to Me and My word in order not to be sucked in.  My word is the thing that will make a difference – not just in your life, but in others.  Hold fast and do not compromise.  You must study it and memorize it.  You must teach it and live it.  You must pray it and speak it. In it is the power to save, the power to transform, the power to persevere, and the power to hold fast.  “I AM” the word.  Cling to it and you’ll be clinging to Me.

2 Timothy 1:1-2:25

What God said to me – My word is not chained.  It is powerful to accomplish My purpose.  You do not need to be eloquent.  You just need to devote yourself to My word and let Me bring it to mind as you need it and let me speak through you.  Present yourself to Me as a student to a teacher, as an apprentice to a master craftsman and let Me teach and train you to accurately handle My word.  It is not your job to convince or to save for “I AM” the one who will lead them to repentance and change their heart.  Your job is to gently speak and teach as I bring them to you.  I will take it from there.

1 Timothy 1:1-6:21

What God said to me – Train yourself to be godly for godliness is the most valuable thing you can possess.  To look like Me and to be conformed to My image is the highest goal anyone can reach in a lifetime.  Let this be your life’s pursuit.  Physical training is good because it gives you strength and endurance to follow Me, but it only lasts for your time on earth.  Spiritual training lasts for all eternity.  Come to Me and I will be your personal trainer, showing you what it means to be godly.  It will take much discipline to reach this goal. There will be good things and fun things you will have to forego in order to spend time in My word and learn to exercise your faith, but the end result will be joy and peace that will last for eternity.
