Romans 4:1-5:21

What God said to me – Now rejoice in the hope of the glory of God for you have been saved by faith into this grace in which you now stand.  I have given you My grace in order that you might stand firm no matter what circumstance you may encounter.  As you persevere “I AM” transforming you into a vessel that reflects My glory to the world.  For the hope of glory that I give you is not just the assurance of standing in My presence in the future, but it is seeing My glory now as I work in you both to will and work My good pleasure.  As My Father was glorified in Me, it’s My desire to be glorified in you.  Stand firm and you will not be disappointed.

Romans 2:1-3:31

What God said to me – “But now” – what words of hope these are!  What words of release these are!  But now a righteousness from God apart from the Law has been made known to which the Law and prophets testify.  This righteousness from God comes through faith in Me.  This is why you can quit struggling to follow the letter of the Law and just walk with Me.  I don’t want your life to be one of following the rules and legalism.  I want you to love Me and walk with Me and seek to please Me.  When you do you will not violate the Law but fulfill it.  The point is that your focus should not be on the Law, but on Me.  I will guide you into all truth and will not lead you astray.

Romans 1:1-32

What God said to me – Just as I called Paul and set him apart for My purpose, so I have called you and set you apart.  Never forget that you are just as dear to Me as Paul or that My plan for your life is no less important than My plan was for him.  Importance to Me is not determined by sphere of influence, but by obedience.  Are you walking with Me and obeying Me in the arena I have placed you?  When you do I use it to accomplish My purpose in ways that may never be evident to you.  When you serve Me in the place where I have called you, exercising the spiritual gifts I have given you and faithfully seeking Me, your sphere of influence is far beyond anything you see or understand and “I AM” glorified in the world through you.
