Proverbs 25:1-27:27

What God said to me – Pride is a difficult and dangerous thing.  To walk through life confident in who you are and not become puffed up is a difficult line to walk.  To do so successfully, you must stay very close to Me and constantly acknowledge that you are who you are not because of anything you have done, but because of who “I AM”.  One of the things I use to reveal what’s in your heart and to test you is the praise of man.  How do you respond to praise?  Do you put yourself in positions or do things in order to receive praise and acknowledgement from others?  You may say the right things, but what’s in your heart?  Are you truly humbled by praise?  Do you point to Me as the source of all you are and do?  Keep your eyes on Me so you can keep “you” in perspective.

Proverbs 22:1-24:34

What God said to me – Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to knowledge.  Spend much time with Me letting Me teach you and speak to you.  Spend your time on what is important, on what is eternal.  You spend so much time worrying about the future and about money yet “I AM” the one who holds the future and who owns all things.  Trust Me to provide for you all that you need and hope in Me as your future hope, for I will not disappoint you.  Be wise and keep your heart on the right path.  When your focus is to build up treasure so you can have a secure future that is where your heart is – not on Me.  Trust Me to secure your future.  Trust Me to provide all you need.  Apply your heart to me and walk in obedience as I direct you.  I will take care of everything else.

Proverbs 20:1-21:31

What God said to me – The world goes about making its plans and doing its preparation to carry out those plans with no understanding that “I AM” in control.  They have no regard for Me, for My desires or for My will, but only seek to please themselves and put themselves forward.  Sadly it is that way with many of My children also.  Don’t be like that.  Turn to Me.  Seek My will and My desires for you.  There is no victory in the battles you encounter or success in the plans you make apart from Me.  To proceed on your own only invites discouragement and frustration.  Seeking Me and following My plans builds your faith as you see Me work on your behalf – as you see Me workout the “impossible” for My glory and your good.
